Mrs. Townsley

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 23 years. We have two wonderful children, Noelle and Kristopher. We also have 3 four-legged children ,Pardy, Zelda and Athena. Since moving to Florida in the early 80's, I have attendedOneco Elementary, Harllee Middle, Southeast High School and University of South Florida, so I am familiar with Manatee County and the changes that it has gone through.
My husband and I love sports and camping. I played fast pitch softball, volleyball and bowled. We go camping every opportunity allows us to. I love to watch football and my team is the New York Giants. We also like to fish.
I have worked for the District of Manatee School Board for 21 years. When I first started here, I was a paraprofessional, which I worked at Abel Elementary and Samoset Elementary – Title One. Once I graduated from USF in 2010, I worked at G.D. Rogers Garden Elementary (3rd and 4th grade) – Title One, Daughtrey Elementary (reading interventionist for 3rd and 4th grade) – Title One, Ballard Elementary (3rd and 4th grade)–Title One, Harvey Elementary (STEM)–New school and Bashaw Elementary (3rd grade inclusion).

I am working on my master’s degree in Educational Leadership; however, I am thinking of changing my major to science. I have also been trained for PBIS – Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support and Behavior Tools I and II.
